Frequently Asked Questions
Do you take walk-ins at your hairdressers in Sale?
Yes, we do accept walk-in appointments on styling, cuts and blow drys at the hair salon in Sale, although it is recommended that you book in advance to avoid disappointment.
Please note, skin tests are required 48 hours prior to colouring services and some treatments.
Is there parking available at the hairdressers in Sale?
There is a 2-hour maximum pay and display in front of our hair salon in Sale, although it gets very busy.
Alternatively, there is a multi-story car park on Broad Road called Q-park, or some on road parking in and around Hope Road. Please check that it is not a permit holders area before leaving your car and walking to the salon.
How is a skin test carried out?
A skin test must be carried out at least 48 hours before your colouring service.
We apply a small amount of the colour in the crease of your arm and leave for 45 minutes. You must stay with us at the salon until the test is complete so we can be 100% sure you are safe to use the colour.
What happens if I have a reaction to a skin test at the salon?
We would need to remove the skin test immediately and you would not be able to have a colouring service. If the irritation continued, we would advise that you see a medical professional.
What brands do you use for your hair colouring service?
We use Wella colouring products for our clients when they visit our hairdressers in Sale.
Which is better, OlaPlex or WellaPlex?
We think they are both essential when using a lightening product.
When used in colour rather than in a lightning product we recommend WellaPlex as it has been formulated in a laboratory specifically to be used with Wella colours.
Do you provide consultations and how much do they cost?
Consultations are free of charge. We can either book you in for a consultation, or if a stylist is free when you come into the salon in Sale, we can do it there and then.
Do you offer reduced rates for children?
We offer concessionary prices for children aged 10 and under Tuesday – Friday, before 4pm.
Children will be charged adults prices on Saturdays.
Can I have a front wash at the backwash?
We can do a front wash at the backwash; clients can stand at the side of our backwashes so that is no problem.
Do I have to have a cut and blow or wash and blow dry after a colouring service?
We prefer our clients to have their hair dried after the colour service so that we can check the results and be sure both client and stylist is happy with the outcome. We also want clients to leave the salon looking and feeling fabulous, which is often only after the hair has been blow dried.
I have curly hair! Do you have much experience cutting curly hair?
We love curly hair. We have a lot of clients who have curly hair and like to leave their hair naturally curly.
We offer a wide range of premium products to help you keep your hair looking healthy, shiny and bouncy.
I don’t like the harsh re-growth line I currently get from my all over colour, what can I do?
Every client is different, and we would love to see you for a consultation to best advise you.
There are a couple of things we can look at as a possible solution;
· A semi-permanent colour which fades off as it grows out, meaning the re-growth line is not as harsh
· Highlights could add a multi-tonal effect, creating a softer line as the colour grows out
